WINE BOTTLE GLASSES - SOLD OUT!

February 21 - Block Printing Tea Towels

Have you always wanted to try printmaking but were intimidated? This workshop will get you started! You'll learn the basics of block printing including how to use wood carving tools and how to apply ink with a brayer. We'll be using a special soft material for our stamps that is easy to work with and super fast to carve. This method works great for printing on paper, but we're also going to print on fabric! We'll talk about how to create repeating patterns. Everyone will get to take home their finished stamps and 2 printed tea towels. Don't like tea towels? Feel free to bring something light colored and cotton to print on instead: tshirt, tote, dress shirt or pillow cases.

February 23  - Old Skool Screen Printing!

When we ask what you guys want to try, the answer we hear most often is screenprinting! Join us to learn about the process and ways to replicate it at home without a dark room, light table or printing press. We will be creating our stencils by hand so you'll need to find a black and white image to trace or use one of ours.

You will get to make 2 prints of your screen so bring a t-shirt, tote bag or other fabric item to print on!

Are you a fan of lapel pins? They're popping up everywhere! Join us to make your own custom pins. We'll show you 2 methods and you'll get to take home a handful! Grab a friend and a beverage and get ready for a fun night of collage and coloring. Don't worry if you don't have a burning message, we'll have some ideas for you.

Every time we do this project, I fall more in love with making wire creations. Join us to explore the fun you can have with wire. We'll be using simple hand tools to twist and bend wire to create miniature tree sculptures. We've got beads and sequins to add leaves to your trees if you like extra sparkle!

March 2 - Weaving: Tiny Pouches

Join us for this great intro to weaving project. We'll teach you the trick how to weaving around a piece of cardboard to make a pouch. You'll leave with a tiny lined bag you can use to hold your treasures, coins or credit cards.

This workshop lends itself well to an adult beverage accompaniment!

March 6 - Circle Loom Weaving

Join us for this brand new workshop! We're going to learn some basic weaving techniques to make beautiful circular wall hangings. We'll show you how to use an embroidery hoop as a loom. The best part is we've got lots of fun and yarn in tons of to choose from. 

Feel free to bring snacks or adult beverages to enjoy while you create!

Dress down for this one folks, it's going to get messy!

We'll explore resist methods and some techniques borrowed from the japanese tradition of Shibori, to create patterns in blue and white on our fabric. This is a great way to refresh clothes, tea towels, napkins or pillowcases.

This workshop is only open to those who have taken our Stained Glass Suncatchers workshop!

We'll be honing our soldering skills and learning how to cut the glass shapes we want for a pattern. We'll be incorporating beautiful geode slices into our design.

April 4 - GlassBlasting!

Come have a BLAST with us as we etch custom images into glass using our sandblaster!

We'll have some glass on hand for you. You can also get great glassware at the Dollar Tree, Ikea or the thrift stores on Summer. You can even dig through your recycling bin and bring those jars that used to hold pickles, spaghetti sauce, or olives. We'll show you how to customize them with a hand cut stencil to give them new life!

Have you made wine bottle glasses with us? Bring them, they look awesome etched!

This week we will be exploring a fun, low tech photo process! We'll expose emulsified fabric using Memphis's sunny sky. Bring some objects to create your collage - flowers, lace, leaves, feathers and other flat items work great. We can also print from your photo images!

April 17 - Gold Leaf Taxidermy!

We love shiny things. We can't think of a better or more creative way than a faux taxidermy plaque covered in gold leaf to show that love. Everyone will get a hollow plastic animal and a wood plaque base to create their trophy. Gold leaf is fairly easy to work with, but we'll show you some tips and tricks for successful use. Feel free to bring your own object for your trophy, just make sure it's hollow plastic.

Join us for this fantastic new workshop! We'll be exploring balance and movement by creating mobiles!

We'll cut shapes from thin metal and use wire to connect them into delicate mobiles.
